Custom Made Cymbals
I am able to offer a limited custom made cymbal program. If there is a cymbal sound that you have in your head that you cannot find in one of my Cymbal Craftsman series, then I will make it for you. Please contact your Cymbal Craftsman dealer or go to the ‘Contact’ page and request a custom made cymbal with a description of what you’re looking for. I’ve successfully made or modified cymbals for the likes of Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Smith, Peter Erskine, Adam Nussbaum etc… and I’ll use those same skills to take your sound ideas and create an instrument that you will love.

Cymbal Modifications
I am also able to offer a cymbal modification service. If you have a cymbal that you would like me to modify or tweak in some way, you can contact me to get a quote. This is a limited service that I offer directly, not through dealers, so you will also need to pay the shipping to and from my shop in Hanover, MA. Please contact me directly through the website’s ‘Contact’ page.
Please fill out the contact us form and send it in with as much information as you can about your cymbal that you want modified. What is the model, the weight, what you don’t like about it and what you’d like for it to sound like.
If you can also send pictures and a quick video that will be great.
The price for modifications is $100 per hour with a two hour minimum charge of $200. Most Mods only take two hours. This charge is to cover my time to tweak your cymbal. If you send in two
or three cymbals and it only takes two hours to modify them all then you only pay $200. Any hour after two hours will be an additional $100 per hour.
You will also pay for the shipping cost to ship to and from my cymbal shop.
What does the Modification cost cover?
– A call with me to discuss the cymbal or cymbals you want modified where I will take notes.
– Unboxing and evaluation of the cymbal(s) after they arrive.
– A txt or email from me on the best way to modify the cymbal to get to the sound you are looking to achieve.
– Pictures of the cymbal being modified.
– A video of the finished modified cymbal.
– Packing and boxing the cymbal to be shipped back to you.
